Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your Mootzer account, and everything held with it, at any time. This page says how to ask and what happens.

There is nothing to delete yet
Mootzer has no way to make an account today, so we hold nothing about you. This page is here so you know how it will work, and it is the address to use the moment accounts exist.
How to ask
Write to us from the email address on the account, and say you want the account deleted. That is the whole process — there is no form to fill in and nothing to install. We reply to confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
The account and everything it holds: your first name, your email address, your password, and the month and year of your birthday. Along with it goes what you shared that we still hold.
What happens to your Moots
A Moot's content goes when the Moot ends anyway, for everyone, whether or not you ask. Deleting your account does not reach what other people have already saved onto their own phones: everyone takes what they want before a Moot winds down, and that copy is theirs, not ours to delete.
What we keep, and why
If something has been reported, that one item is kept aside while it is looked at, so the report can be dealt with. We also keep anything the law requires us to keep. Nothing else.
How long it takes
We delete our copy from our servers within 30 days of your asking, and usually sooner.
